Remo North Backs Adebiyi Adeleye’s Reps Aspiration, Says Sodade

The Chairman of Remo North Local Government, Muyiwa Sodade, has reaffirmed the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s support for Hon. Biyi Adeleye’s candidacy for the House of Representatives.
He made this declaration earlier yesterday while speaking to selected journalists at an APC meeting in Remo North.
Sodade emphasized the importance of Adeleye’s endorsement, highlighting the growing demand from Remo North residents for representation in the federal legislature. He explained that the decision to back Adeleye was driven by the people’s desire for a candidate who truly understands and represents the interests of Remo North and Remo in general.
Historically, the House of Representatives seat has been occupied by politicians from Sagamu and Ikenne Local Government Areas, leaving Remo North without direct representation.
The council boss praised Adeleye’s extensive political experience, noting his previous roles as a Caretaker Chairman of Remo North Local Government, a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, a Consultant to the Ogun State Governor, and, presently, the Special Adviser to His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
“His expertise as both a lawmaker and an executive will help us quickly achieve the ‘Ijaya effect’ when he gets to the Green Chamber,” he said.
The chairman urged both party members and opposition figures to unite in support of Adebiyi Adeleye’s aspiration to represent the Remo Federal Constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly. He emphasized the importance of collective effort in achieving this goal and referenced ongoing discussions with other local government chairmen in Remo.
Sodade further stated that Adeleye has already garnered support from the two other local governments, demonstrating a growing consensus among key stakeholders in favour of his bid for the National Assembly.
