Remo North Youths Call For Fair Representation During Abiodun’s Project Tour

As Governor Dapo Abiodun toured Ogun East to inspect ongoing road projects across key areas such as Ikenne, Remo North, Sagamu, Ijebu-Ode, and Odogbolu local government areas, a strong political demand emerged from Remo North.

During his inspection of the Iperu-Ode Remo-Sapade roadworks, youths, women, and community leaders seized the moment to passionately appeal to the governor, urging him to support their call for the next House of Representatives seat to be zoned to Remo North.

Demonstrating their unity and readiness, Remo North has already spoken with one voice, nominating Sir Adebiyi Adeleye as their consensus choice for the position. Leaders emphasized that this is not just a request but a rightful demand, as the local government has never had the opportunity to represent the federal constituency.

As the governor’s convoy made its way through Ode Remo, the intensity of the demand was evident. Youths carrying placards and chanting slogans called on Governor Abiodun to ensure fair political representation. Their message was clear: “It is time for Remo North. Support our stand, dear Governor. Trust our decision, Your Excellency.”

Speaking at the gathering, Taiwo Olufemi, a youth from Isara Remo, commended Governor Abiodun for his extensive infrastructural projects across Ogun State, particularly in Remoland.

“Governor Abiodun has transformed Remo with massive investments in roads, housing, and education. We appreciate his commitment to development, and now we urge him to extend that fairness to politics by supporting our push for the House of Representatives seat,” Olufemi said.

Similarly, Tunde Ajibade, another youth from Ode Remo, underscored the urgency of their demand, stressing that Remo North deserves fair political representation.

“Ikenne and Sagamu have had their fair share, spending 12 and 10 years respectively in the House of Representatives. It is now time for Remo North to put forward a candidate. We are united behind Adebiyi Adeleye, and we call on the governor to stand with us in this just cause,” Ajibade declared.
