IGP Deploys Police Aircraft To Boost Security Operations In Ogun

The Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, has deployed an operational police aircraft to Ogun State to strengthen security operations and enhance the fight against criminality and banditry in the state.

Talabi said the deployment followed a request by Governor Abiodun for additional aerial support as part of efforts to strengthen the state’s security architecture and sustain the fight against criminal elements.

The SSG conveyed the governor’s appreciation to Disu for his prompt response and commitment to protecting lives and property in the state.

According to him, the development further demonstrated the strong collaboration between the Ogun State Government and security agencies, noting that the partnership had continued to yield positive results in safeguarding residents and protecting critical infrastructure.

Talabi said the aircraft would support ongoing security operations under Operation KOSAYE, a joint initiative between Ogun and Lagos states aimed at flushing out kidnappers, bandits and other criminal elements from forests, border communities and identified flashpoints.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing the necessary support for security agencies to effectively discharge their responsibilities.

He added that Ogun State would continue to invest in initiatives aimed at guaranteeing peace and security while creating an environment conducive to sustainable economic development.
