APC Leadership Hosts Lagos State Chairmanship Aspirants, Reaffirms Inclusiveness

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State, on Wednesday received representatives of the Lagos State Conference of 2025 Chairmanship Aspirants during a courtesy visit to the party’s secretariat at Acme Road, Ikeja.

During the meeting, the aspirants reaffirmed their loyalty to the party and pledged their support for the 2027 presidential ambition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They noted that their collective decision to align with the President’s vision reflects their commitment to advancing the ideals of the APC and promoting Nigeria’s progress.

The aspirants also raised two critical issues for consideration:

Inclusion in major political discussions and appointments, in recognition of their loyalty, sacrifices, and continued service to the party.

Refund of chairmanship nomination form fees, earlier promised to aspirants who stepped down from the last local government elections in Lagos State.

Responding, the Deputy State Chairman of APC, Lagos State, commended the aspirants for their maturity and steadfastness in aligning with the President’s aspirations. He assured them that their requests would be communicated to both the State Working Committee (SWC) and the National leadership of the party for appropriate consideration.

He further emphasized that the APC in Lagos remains committed to reconciliation and inclusiveness, stressing that aggrieved members would be reached as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the unity of the party.

The meeting ended on a positive note, with both parties expressing optimism for sustained collaboration in the interest of the APC and the nation.
