Readership Nigeria reports that Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski suffered a hamstring injury against Almeria on Sunday and has been ruled out of El Clasico.
Barcelona confirmed Lewandowski’s injury in a statement on Monday.
It read, “First team player Robert Lewandowski has a left hamstring strain. He is out and his recovery will determine his availability.”
The Poland striker is set to miss the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg against Real Madrid on Thursday.
Lewandowski is Barcelona’s top goalscorer this season, with 25 goals in 31 matches.
The Catalans will also be without Pedri and Ousmane Dembele for the fixture.
