Tinubu, Hamzat, Adebule, Abisco, Others Secure TMMG Backing As APC Group Holds Major Endorsement Meeting
The Mandate Movement Group (TMMG), a political group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), on Tuesday endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office during a well-attended constituency meeting held in the Alimosho area of Lagos State.
The group also endorsed Senator Idiat Oluranti Adebule for a second term to represent Lagos West Senatorial District, citing her efforts in providing quality representation, particularly in the areas of education and women empowerment.
At the gathering, the incumbent Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, was equally endorsed as the preferred governorship candidate of the group. Members of the group commended his loyalty, competence, and contributions to governance alongside Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

For the House of Representatives, the group endorsed Princess Olabisi Adebajo, popularly known as ABISCO, to represent Alimosho Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, describing her as a grassroots politician with the capacity to deliver effective representation.
The group also threw its weight behind Hon. Yusuf Sakiru Adisa and Hon. Nojim Oladimeji Gbadebo, popularly known as NOG, for Alimosho State Constituencies I and II, respectively, in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The event attracted a massive turnout of party faithful, supporters, and stakeholders across Alimosho Federal Constituency. Speaking at the meeting, the State Chairman of the group, Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo, highlighted what he described as the key achievements of President Tinubu’s administration.
According to him, the student loan scheme, Renewed Hope infrastructure agenda, local government autonomy drive, and economic reforms introduced by the Federal Government were already yielding positive results for Nigerians.

“President Tinubu has given us a new lease of life in governance. He will complete the good work he has started,” Enilolobo said amid cheers from supporters.
Speaking on the endorsement of Senator Adebule, Enilolobo stated that the lawmaker had done her best in representing Lagos West Senatorial District and deserved another opportunity to continue her work.
On the endorsement of Dr. Hamzat, the chairman described the deputy governor as a man of integrity and administrative competence who had contributed immensely to the development of Lagos State through improved security, transportation, and youth-oriented programmes.
The chairman, however, lamented what he described as the political marginalisation of the group within the party structure, alleging that some stakeholders falsely accused TMMG of working against the APC.

He claimed that despite directives from President Tinubu, members of the group who were nominated for positions as supervisors and special advisers had yet to be sworn in.
“Today, this group has no commissioner, no special adviser, no head of parastatal, no council chairman, no councillors, and not even supervisors, yet we remain committed to the party,” he said.
Enilolobo further alleged that those currently practising politics of exclusion were among individuals who previously benefited from the group’s inclusive style of leadership.
He recalled that during previous political arrangements, opportunities were created for other party members to emerge in elective positions.
The chairman also accused a serving lawmaker, Hon. Kehinde Joseph, of attempting to extend his stay in office against an earlier understanding that another indigene of the constituency would succeed him after his tenure.
According to him, those behind divisive politics were now facing political challenges, while members of the group remained hopeful and loyal to President Tinubu.
Enilolobo stressed the need for inclusivity in the political process, noting that the endorsement of a female aspirant for the House of Representatives seat reflected the group’s commitment to gender participation in governance.
He urged members of the group to remain united and prepare adequately for the APC primary election scheduled for Friday.
The meeting ended with a solidarity vote of confidence passed on President Tinubu and all candidates endorsed by the group.
