Sagamu LG Boss Welcomes New NSCDC Area Commander, Reaffirms Security Partnership

The Chairman of Sagamu Local Government has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) following a courtesy visit by the newly posted Area Commander of the NSCDC Remo Area Command, Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) Akinwa Damilola.

The visit, which took place on Tuesday, also featured the Heads of Divisions of the NSCDC across the Remo axis and was held to formally introduce the new Area Commander following his assumption of duty.

Welcoming ACC Damilola to Sagamu and the wider Remo area, the council chairman congratulated him on his appointment and wished him a successful and impactful tenure.

He assured the new Area Commander of the local government’s unwavering support, stressing the importance of sustaining the cordial working relationship between the council and the NSCDC in ensuring the safety of lives and property across the local government.

The chairman noted that security remains a top priority of his administration and expressed confidence that the existing partnership with the NSCDC would continue to enhance peace, public safety and effective service delivery within the council area.

The courtesy visit underscored the commitment of both the local government and the NSCDC to deepen institutional cooperation in tackling security challenges and promoting a safe environment for residents. The NSCDC maintains Area Commands to coordinate operations and strengthen security collaboration at the grassroots level.
