Sagamu Council Assures Timely Delivery Of Alaba Ultra Modern Market Project
Sagamu Local Government has provided an update on the ongoing expansion of the Alaba Ultra Modern Market in Ogijo, confirming that the second phase of the ultra-modern lock-up shops is currently in progress.
The disclosure followed an on-site inspection conducted by the council chairman, alongside members of the cabinet and the Head of Local Government Administration, to evaluate the pace and quality of work on the project.
According to the chairman, the inspection revealed steady progress, with contractors maintaining satisfactory standards in line with the administration’s vision of delivering modern and functional trading facilities.
He further assured that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the construction of both the lock-up shops and open stalls would be completed and commissioned for use by or before the end of the third quarter of the year.
The Alaba Ultra Modern Market expansion forms part of Sagamu Local Government’s broader strategy to strengthen local commerce, improve market infrastructure, and create a more conducive environment for traders and small business owners.
