Royal Blessings, Unmatched Turnout Propel APC’s AFO Campaign Forward In Sagamu

In a spirited show of support, Ward 13 residents in Sagamu Local Government welcomed Hon. AFO and his campaign team, marking a high point in the APC SLG Election campaign. The visit underscored the community’s enthusiasm and commitment to ongoing development under AFO’s leadership.

The campaign event, attended by Hon. Ronke Shoyombo (Special Adviser for Education), Hon. AKA (Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor), and Hon. Femi Ogundalu, began with a ceremonial visit to the palace of HRH Ọba Olugbenga Gbadebo Sonuga (Ogbodo I), the Fadesewa of Simawa. During the royal audience, the Fadesewa extended his blessings, commending Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate on his community initiatives, particularly in road infrastructure. Odulate reaffirmed his promise to establish a new area office in Simawa, a move he believes will bring essential services closer to the people.

The campaign’s next stop was Mechanic Village, where members of the National Association of Technicians and Artisans (N.A.T.A.) welcomed the team with open arms. N.A.T.A. leaders praised Hon. AFO’s first-term achievements and committed to supporting his re-election. In response, party leaders, including Leader Ade and Ade, expressed gratitude for N.A.T.A.’s loyalty and asked for their continued support in the upcoming election.

Continuing their outreach, the campaign paid respects to HRH Alayeluwa Ọba S.O. Dawodu, the Onigbepa of Igbepa. Here, Hon. Toyin Jekami was honored with the title Yeye-Olofin of Igbepa in recognition of her dedication to the community. The large gathering observed a minute of silence for the late Comrade Awolesi Saheed (popularly known as Star Boy). Leaders Raji and Hon. Tunde Sonubi encouraged the community to maintain its readiness for the election, urging Odulate to remain dedicated to Ward 13’s needs.

Oloye Odutola Adeniyi, Baba L’oja of Igbepa, voiced the traders’ support, commending Odulate’s leadership and promising steadfast backing from the trading community. The campaign Director-General echoed these sentiments, and Odulate expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ward 13 residents for their unwavering loyalty. Party Chairman Mr. Opaleye concluded the event by presenting the party flag to Hon. Alhaji Dada Ogunyombo, the Ward 13 Councillorship candidate, symbolizing the party’s unity and commitment to progress.
