Ojogbon Declares Intention To Contest APC Youth Leader Position In Oto-Awori LCDA

Oga Omoyemi Azeez, popularly known as OJOGBON, has declared his intention to contest for the position of Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oto-Awori Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
According to a statement signed by him and shared on his social media handles, Azeez said his decision to seek the party’s youth leadership position was driven by his unwavering commitment to progressive politics and long-standing loyalty to the APC.
He traced his political journey through the Alliance for Democracy (AD), Action Congress (AC), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and now the APC, noting that the progression was based on principle rather than convenience.
“My consistent progression reflects not convenience, but conviction, an enduring belief in progressive governance, people-oriented leadership, and grassroots development,” he stated.
Azeez expressed confidence that the APC youth structure in Oto-Awori LCDA could be repositioned for greater relevance and impact if given purposeful leadership.
“As a youth with vision, capacity, and clarity of purpose, I am convinced that the APC youth structure in Oto-Awori LCDA can be repositioned for greater effectiveness,” he said.
He stressed that youth engagement within the party should go beyond election periods, adding that continuous empowerment through political education, leadership development, and strategic engagement remains critical.
“The youth wing should not only be mobilized during elections, but empowered continuously,” he noted.
The youth leader aspirant also disclosed plans to introduce technology-driven approaches to youth mobilisation and party organisation, including the use of digital platforms for communication, data-driven membership engagement, political sensitisation, skills development, and effective coordination of youth activities across wards.
Describing himself as a loyal party man and bridge-builder, Azeez pledged to work closely with party elders, executives, and stakeholders to ensure harmony, strengthen internal democracy, and project the APC as the party of choice for young people in Oto-Awori LCDA.
He concluded by appealing to party delegates and stakeholders for their support and votes, assuring them of dedicated, transparent, and result-oriented leadership if elected.
