The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has welcomed pupils, students, teachers, parents and guardians back to school as the new academic session begins.
Odulate, in a message marking the commencement of the new session, described the period as an opportunity for students to learn, grow and prepare themselves for the future.
The council chairman reaffirmed the commitment of the local government to creating an enabling environment where children can access quality education while developing the knowledge, discipline and skills required to become responsible members of society.
He urged students to take their studies seriously, respect their teachers and maximise the opportunities available to them throughout the academic session.
Odulate also commended teachers for their role in shaping the lives and future of young people, urging them to continue providing the guidance, support and encouragement needed to help students succeed.
He called on parents and guardians to remain actively involved in the education and welfare of their children and wards, stressing that the success of every child is a shared responsibility between the home, school and government.
“On behalf of the Executive and Legislative Councils of Sagamu Local Government, I wish all our students and teachers a successful, productive and rewarding academic session,” Odulate said.
He concluded by wishing the entire school community a warm welcome back and a fruitful academic year.
