The 2027 candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency, Oluwadara Kehinde, has urged students across the constituency to embrace learning, discipline, creativity and excellence as they resume for the 2026/2027 academic session.

Kehinde made the call in a statement released by his media office on Monday to welcome students, teachers, parents and guardians back to school, stressing the importance of education in shaping the future of young people.

According to him, the new academic session presents students with another opportunity to acquire knowledge, develop their talents and prepare for the responsibilities and opportunities ahead.

“Education is the foundation for a brighter future, and every new school day is an opportunity to learn, grow and become the best version of yourself. I encourage our students to approach this academic session with discipline, determination and a commitment to excellence,” he said.

The NDC candidate commended teachers and parents for their roles in the education and upbringing of children, urging them to continue providing the guidance and support necessary for students to succeed.

Kehinde assured that education would remain a priority in his representation if elected in 2027, promising to champion initiatives that improve access to quality education, support students and teachers, and create better opportunities for young people across Yewa North and Imeko-Afon.

He said his commitment would include advocating policies and interventions capable of strengthening the constituency’s educational sector and equipping young people with the knowledge and skills needed to build a better future.
