A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State, Hon. Mojeed Olusesan Soyebo, popularly known as Oscar, has commended Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, otherwise known as Yayi, for the construction of the Simawa-Kanuyi Road and provision of streetlights in Sagamu Local Government Area.

Oscar, a former member of the Ogun State House of Assembly representing Sagamu Constituency II, said the project demonstrated what he described as Yayi’s commitment to grassroots development and responsive representation.

The road project, which spans about four kilometres, according to Oscar, comes with streetlights designed to improve visibility, movement and security within the affected communities.

He said the combination of road infrastructure and streetlighting would not only ease transportation but also support commercial activities and improve the overall environment for residents.

“Yayi has shown leadership by identifying the needs of the people and ensuring that projects that directly affect their daily lives are delivered. This is the kind of representation our people can see and feel,” Oscar said.

He described the project as a practical example of how elected representatives could use their positions to attract development to their communities.

Soyebo also urged residents of Sagamu and other parts of Ogun State to support Yayi in his bid to become governor, saying his experience in the National Assembly and record of interventions had positioned him to deliver more developmental projects across the state.

“If we want this kind of intervention to continue and be expanded across Ogun State, then we must support a leader who has demonstrated a commitment to infrastructure and grassroots development,” he said.

The APC chieftain called on voters to consider what he described as Yayi’s record of service when making their choice in the 2027 governorship election.
