BREAKING: Edwin Clark, Renowned PANDEF Leader, Passes Away At 97

Former Federal Commissioner for Information and prominent South-South leader, Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, has passed away at the age of 97.
The death of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) leader was confirmed by his family in a statement on Monday evening.
The statement, signed by Prof. C. C. Clark on behalf of the Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, reads: “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, regrets to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark OFR, CON on Monday, 17th February 2025. The family appreciates your prayers during this difficult time. Further details will be shared later.”
This news comes shortly after the passing of Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Afenifere, who died at 96. The two elder statesmen’s deaths have left a significant void in Nigerian leadership.
