APC’s Afolabi Odulate Campaign In Sagamu Resumes With Unwavering Support
2 min readThe campaign activities of Ogbeni Afolabi Odulate (known as AFO) resumed with a powerful show of support as he engaged stakeholders and community members across Ward 10. The day began with a visit to His Royal Highness ỌBA Muyideen Oluwaseyi Soile I, Ayanperuwa of Sotubo, where AFO received royal blessings, underscoring his commitment to the local community.
The team also paid homage to Elder Prince Benjamin Akinbayo Otunba Osho, a respected APC statesman in Ewu-Oloja, who extended his prayers and endorsement for AFO’s candidacy.
As the Chairmanship candidate arrived, a massive crowd of supporters greeted him, with party members from all six zones gathering in a vibrant display of solidarity. Prince Onalaja, Director General of the Ward 10 Campaign, voiced his gratitude to influential party members, including Hon. Opaleye, all local transport unions, Commissioner Ola Oresanya, and other key leaders who attended. Princess Adepeju Ayobola, Iyaloja General of Ogijo, encouraged market leaders to stand behind Ogbeni Odulate and Ward 10 Councilor Hon. Immaculate, citing Odulate’s contributions to the construction of the Ogijo Ultra Modern Market as a testament to his leadership.
Adding to the endorsements, Aare Afonja, the State Treasurer of TORAN, pledged the support of all transport unions in Ogijo for the APC, foretelling a resounding victory. Prince Oyetola also expressed gratitude to His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun for his faith in AFO’s leadership, vowing that Ward 10 would deliver a significant majority in the election. Meanwhile, Hon. Lawal reflected on AFO’s impactful first term, emphasizing his accomplishments and their enduring influence on the community.
Hon. Ola Awoniyi, Chairman of the Ward 10 Leaders Forum, reminisced about AFO’s unwavering commitment to Ogijo, even during challenging times. Hon. Afolabi Akininwunmi Malaki lauded AFO’s inclusive leadership style, which has endeared him to the people.
Support from various community groups was also evident. The Ebira community, led by NASS Ibrahim, affirmed their commitment to AFO’s vision, pledging full support on Election Day. Kabiru Sanusi, the leader of the Hausa community, also promised strong backing. Hon. Hassan, former Chairman of Sagamu South CDA, praised AFO’s achievements in his first tenure, noting that his rare leadership qualities had earned widespread support.
In addition, Hon. Muri Awolaja conveyed appreciation for ongoing state projects in Iperu and the Ogijo expressway, which further reassured the community of continued development under AFO’s leadership. Hon. Azeez Arole Bello, the SLG APC Campaign Director General, highlighted Ogijo’s significance within Sagamu Local Government and expressed optimism about its future growth under committed guidance.
Addressing the crowd, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate extended his gratitude to community leaders and acknowledged the dedication of Ward Councilor Hon. Immaculate in pushing for progress. AFO reiterated his commitment to Ogijo’s development, pledging continued infrastructure improvements in his second term. The event concluded with Mr. Opaleye, the Party Chairman, presenting the party flag to Hon. Immaculate and urging him to serve with dedication and uphold APC’s values.
