Day 2 Of APC’s Afolabi Odulate Campaign In Sagamu Highlights Community Engagement

The second day of the campaign for the upcoming Sagamu Local Government elections saw a strong turnout as candidates and supporters moved from the AFO Campaign Office to the APC SLG Secretariat.

A key visit took place at Oja Falawo Market, where traders expressed support for Hon. Afolabi Odulate’s continuation in office, citing recent improvements in the market’s infrastructure.

In Ward 2, Oniyanrin, the campaign was greeted with cultural performances, including traditional Agemo masquerades and dance displays. Ward 2 Campaign Director Omoba Adeniyi Abdul welcomed the visiting dignitaries, noting the collaboration among party members in preparation for the November 16 election.

Campaign Director-General Hon. Azeez Arole Bello encouraged members to remain engaged with the party’s goals, emphasizing a focus on infrastructure development, community initiatives, and vocational training to benefit Sagamu Local Government residents.

Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate acknowledged the recent passing of APC Sagamu Vice Chairman Comrade Sinnijay, announcing that campaign activities would pause in respect.

In Ward 3, the team was met by DG Saheed Kamiyo and party members, who reflected on the development seen in the ward during Odulate’s previous term, including the Cinema and Sawmill road projects. Odulate also discussed the upcoming Aiyepe road project, expected to link nearby communities.

The campaign concluded in Ward 6, Itunsokun, where community members gathered to welcome the campaign team. Campaign representatives expressed appreciation for the ongoing support and highlighted key projects in Ward 6. The event ended with the presentation of the APC flag to Councilor candidate Prince Adekunle Folarin by Party Chairman Mr. Opaleye.

The turnout reflected community interest in the election and in discussions on Sagamu’s development path as campaign activities continue in the weeks leading up to November 16.
