BREAKING: APC Stalwart Enilolobo Denies Defection Rumours, Denounces Aregbesola, Vows Total Loyalty To Tinubu

Chairman of The Mandate Movement and former Lagos State Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo, has reaffirmed his commitment to the ruling party, dismissing reports linking him to defections as “baseless fabrications sponsored by detractors”.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Enilolobo said at no time had he considered leaving the APC, stressing that his loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the party remained “total, unwavering, and unalloyed.”

“I remain a committed and loyal member of the APC. No political party possesses the ideological strength to lure me away, and no individual has the capacity to make me abandon the party to which I have dedicated my life’s service,” he declared.

Enilolobo, who has previously served as Lagos State Youth Leader, South West Youth Leader, and Director of Mobilization in various campaign councils, highlighted his contributions to the party’s electoral successes. These, he said, included grassroots mobilization during the 2023 general elections through the BATCO Mandate Movement, a registered independent campaign group with chapters across the federation.

He described as mischievous the allegations that he worked for opposition parties during the 2023 presidential election or planned to defect to the Labour Party (LP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), or African Democratic Congress (ADC). According to him, the claims were orchestrated by political rivals in Alimosho Federal Constituency who failed to deliver for the APC during the polls.

“The detractor-in-chief has repeatedly tried to associate me with three different political parties, but these allegations are nothing more than desperate attempts to undermine my political relevance,” Enilolobo said.

He reiterated his loyalty to President Tinubu, noting that he was part of the Lagos State delegation of delegates who delivered 100 percent votes to Tinubu at the APC presidential primary. He also emphasized that no one could sever his long-standing political father-and-son relationship with the president.

Enilolobo called on Nigerians to be patient with the current administration, assuring them that the “temporary pains” of the Renewed Hope agenda would lead to lasting benefits for the nation.

“God bless Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, God bless the APC, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he concluded.
