Senator Yayi Felicitates With Muslims, Urges Prayers For Nigeria’s Peace

As Muslims across the world conclude the sacred month of Ramadan, Senator Solomon Adeola (APC, Ogun West), popularly known as Yayi, has extended heartfelt Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful in his constituency and beyond. The senator, who also serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriations, called on Nigerians to pray for peace, unity, and stability in the country.

In his Eid message, Senator Yayi prayed that Almighty Allah would accept the fasting, prayers, and supplications of adherents during Ramadan. He urged that the spiritual lessons of self-denial, love, fairness, justice, and peaceful co-existence emphasized by Prophet Mohammed continue to guide daily interactions and community relations.

“As we approach another election season, let us renew our hope for a secure nation and a prosperous future for all citizens under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I trust that our prayers offered during Ramadan will be answered in due course,” he stated.

Senator Yayi also highlighted the need for prayers against the insecurity plaguing Nigeria, calling on leaders to find lasting solutions to violence and other societal challenges. He stressed that Islam is a religion of peace, promoting kindness, love for Allah, and respect for fellow human beings.

He further urged Muslims to uphold the pious practices associated with Ramadan, advocating tolerance, and peaceful co-existence as guiding principles for all Nigerians. According to him, these values are essential as the government works to address national and global challenges affecting society.
