Olasoju Hosts LASRRA GM, Seeks Stronger Partnership On Residents’ Registration
The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Bayo Olasoju, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring that all residents within the council area are fully captured in the Lagos State Residents Registration Agency (LASRRA) database.
Olasoju gave the assurance while hosting the General Manager of LASRRA, Mrs. Bilikiss Adebiyi-Abiola, during a courtesy visit to the Isolo LCDA secretariat.
According to the council chairman, discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening collaboration between the LCDA and LASRRA, with particular emphasis on enhancing the agency’s operational effectiveness within the council area and intensifying grassroots mobilisation for residents’ registration.
Olasoju expressed appreciation to the LASRRA General Manager for the visit and for commending the council’s earlier support for the agency’s activities. He assured her of the LCDA’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that no resident is left unregistered or excluded from the benefits associated with the Lagos State Residents’ Identification Card.
He stressed that effective residents’ registration remains crucial to inclusive governance, accurate data-driven planning, and improved service delivery at the grassroots level.
In her remarks, Mrs. Adebiyi-Abiola commended the Isolo LCDA chairman for his proactive support and cooperation, describing the council as a strategic partner in the realisation of LASRRA’s mandate.
She noted that collaboration with local governments is vital to expanding residents’ registration across Lagos State and assured that the agency would continue to work closely with Isolo LCDA to make the registration process more accessible and efficient.
The LASRRA General Manager added that comprehensive residents’ data is essential for effective governance, security planning, and the delivery of social services across the state.
