The Mandate Movement Issues Warning To APC Chieftain, Senator Ganiyu Solomon
The Mandate Movement (TMM) through their chair of Chairmen, Chief Olu Arulogun, has issued a stern warning to the Director-General of the 2023 election All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Committee in Lagos, Senator Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon (GOS) with a clear message: “Leave us alone!”
The group, which is under the auspices of the ruling party has said the recent actions by GOS have sparked concerns within the state political space, with accusations of covert alliances and calls to align with Cardinal James Odunmbaku, popularly known as Baba Eto illegal political structure.
According to Arulogun, “Deception, an inherent aspect of the political landscape, challenges the groups’s ability to discern genuine intentions. The focus now extends beyond those who may deceive, urging a thoughtful examination of the group’s response to potential manipulation in the intricate web of political manoeuvring.
“The warning to Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon resonates as a plea for autonomy, emphasizing the group’s political independence and rejecting attempts to sway members to Baba Eto’s camp. The caution is rooted not just in distrust but in a fervent desire to safeguard the group’s autonomy in making political choices. ”
Arulogun has urged the esteemed Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) to distance themselves totally from Eto dubious clique with Mr. Tayo Ayinde and the Rt. Hon. Mudashiru obasa. He said that the GAC at this point is urged to unite against what is perceived as detrimental moves during this critical juncture.
He said the call for Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon (GOS) to refrain from contacting their members has been articulated as a plea for peace. “GOS is strongly urged to abstain from influencing members to join Eto’s camp unless it aligns with the collective will of the group.”
The cautionary message concludes with a powerful affirmation of political independence, urging GOS to respect the autonomy of The Mandate Movement led by Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo.
As a concluding note, Chief Olu Arulogun posed two pivotal questions to GOS: ‘Are you a member of The Mandate Movement, or are you willing to join the Movement’, stating that these questions are considered imperative for understanding GOS’s position, particularly in light of his actions to maintain control in the upcoming local government elections in his local government.
