Who Is Afraid Of Enilolobo’s Political Assets?

3 min read

It is interesting to note that Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo has become the number one item on the list of concerns for all disgruntled elements in the All Progressives Congress, (APC), in the Alimosho federal constituency.

We dare say Enilolobo is not the architect of anyone’s political fate, so concocting stories about his political moves will help no one.

Enilolobo, as the Chairman of The Mandate Movement in Lagos State and by virtue of his erstwhile roles as APC Youth Leader, Southwest Youth Leader and State Organizing Secretary, commands a statewide and national structure of followers and associates.

Enilolobo has no need to prove his massive followership in the Alimosho federal constituency in particular or Lagos State in general.

Having staged the most attended and best rally in the buildup to the Presidential Election in the 2023 general elections is proof that he is a man of the people and for the people.

Enilolobo did not lose in his polling unit and ward. It is deeply regrettable that the APC lost in the Alimosho federal constituency. However, the side of the story left untold is that Alimosho Local Government delivered the highest number of votes for the APC in that election in Lagos State—63,000 votes! No other local government bested Alimosho in this regard.

It is also worth stating that the APC lost the presidential elections in Ikeja, Somolu, Eti Osa, Amuwo Odofin, Oshodi Isolo, Kosofe, Ojo, and Ajeromi Ifelodun. Party leaders in these LGAs are not being vilified, but only Enilolobo is targeted by enemies within the Alimosho federal constituency and their backers out of the constituency, who are now determined that the young man should not be in leadership, after he has seen them through public offices via the Alimosho APC G-18 leadership unit.

One wonders where these elements were when, 24 hours before the Presidential Election, the list of party agents and collation officers was changed without the knowledge of the party chairmen, council chairmen, and APC leadership. Where were they when an armored tank and a detachment of the military laid siege to his residence for hours, eventually ransacking it in search of election materials?

Where were these elements when the three assistant collation officers (Comrade Alani, Reformer Damilare Ojo, and Tope Ogunyemi), detailed by Enilolobo to oversee things at the LGA Collation Centres, were identified, isolated, brutalized, and kept in police custody despite their injuries?

Is Enilolobo also responsible for the loss of the APC in the presidential elections in Kano State, Kaduna State, Katsina State, and Plateau State, to mention a few?

What is profound for the discerning is that if Enilolobo is the man who made the APC lose Alimosho, then it means he is the man who can deliver Alimosho for the APC. If he is the man who single-handedly made the APC lose Lagos in the presidential election, it presupposes he is the man who made the APC win the gubernatorial election.

While his traducers are busy with the “Pull Down Enilolobo Agenda,” he has set his sight on pulling the right strings to ensure thunder does not strike again in 2027.
