Two Aspirants Step Down, Pledge Support For NOG In Alimosho Constituency 02 Race

In a major political realignment ahead of the Lagos State House of Assembly primaries, two aspirants for Alimosho State Constituency 02 have withdrawn from the race and declared their support for Hon. Nojim Oladimeji Gbadebo (NOG), the endorsed candidate of The Mandate Movement Group (TMMG).

Engr. Adeleke Adebayo, popularly known as Oyinlomo, and Barrister Michael Oluwashina Babalola announced their decisions separately on Wednesday, citing the need for unity and the track record of Hon. Gbadebo.

Speaking to newsmen at a gathering of party faithful in Alimosho, Engr. Adebayo said, “After wide consultations with my supporters and elders of the constituency, I have resolved to step down my aspiration and throw my full weight behind Hon. Nojim Oladimeji Gbadebo. He is a man of integrity and capacity, and I believe he remains the best candidate to make Alimosho great again.”

In a similar vein, Barrister Babalola disclosed that his decision was borne out of a collective interest in delivering quality representation.

“I entered this race to serve the people, and that same motivation drives me now to support NOG. He has shown unwavering commitment to putting Alimosho State Constituency 02 and her constituents first. I urge all my supporters to rally behind him,” Babalola stated.

Reacting to the development, Hon. Nojim Oladimeji Gbadebo expressed gratitude and described the endorsements as a sign of growing momentum for his campaign.

“I am deeply humbled by the trust and sacrifice of Engr. Adebayo and Barrister Babalola. Their decision is not about me but about the future of our constituency. Together, we are set to make Alimosho great again, and I will not let the people down,” Gbadebo said.

Gbadebo, who has adopted the slogan “Make Alimosho Great Again,” has pledged to prioritise the needs of the constituency and its residents.
