Tragedy Strikes On Ewusi Road As Chairman Odulate Vows Swift Action

A fatal accident along Ewusi Road near Royal Chemist in Sagamu claimed the life of Mr. Olajide Oyeleke earlier today, sparking fresh concerns over road safety in the area.
Upon receiving the distress call, the Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, immediately visited the accident scene alongside his Vice Chairman, councillors, and key appointees.
The team carefully assessed the location of the accident and engaged with residents and eyewitnesses who voiced strong concerns over the growing frequency of such tragedies on the road.
“The pain and frustration from repeated accidents on this road are valid. We will act swiftly to address the root causes and prevent further loss of life,” Odulate assured.
Following the inspection, the Chairman led his team to the residence of the bereaved family to offer condolences and support. He pledged that justice will be served, stating that the driver responsible for the incident will not escape accountability.
“No life should be lost in vain. Mr. Oyeleke will get the justice he deserves,” he affirmed.
The Chairman also paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Majesty, the Ewusi of Makun Kingdom, Oba Timothy Akinsanya, to brief him on the incident and the government’s immediate response. The monarch commended the local government’s promptness and concern for the safety of residents.
In a heartfelt appeal to the public, Chairman Odulate urged all drivers to prioritize safety.
“Don’t drink and drive. Obey speed limits. If you’re not confident or capable enough to drive, please don’t. One reckless decision can end innocent lives,” he warned.
The local government has promised to introduce swift measures to prevent further tragedies along the accident-prone stretch of Ewusi Road.
