SYAN Honours Armstrong Paints MD With Leadership Award

The Southern Youth Assembly of Nigeria (SYAN) has honoured Engr. Adisa Uthman Adekunle, Managing Director of Armstrong Paints Ltd., with the Exemplary Leadership Award of Excellence, alongside a Certificate of Credence presented to the company.

The award ceremony, held on Wednesday at the company’s headquarters in Osogbo, also featured a vote of confidence passed on Engr. Adekunle, naming him Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year.

Leading the SYAN delegation, Hon. (Amb.) Sanni Ahmed, Chairman of Empowerment and Programs, described the Armstrong Paints boss as “a visionary leader whose commitment to quality, innovation, and community development continues to inspire the younger generation.” He praised Engr. Adekunle for building a brand that not only thrives in the competitive Nigerian market but also supports youth empowerment initiatives.

In his vote of thanks, Engr. Adekunle expressed deep appreciation to the Assembly for the recognition, noting that the honour would further motivate him to “continue raising industry standards, creating jobs, and contributing meaningfully to national development.” He commended SYAN’s work in grooming young leaders and pledged ongoing collaboration to advance youth-focused projects.

SYAN is a growing network of young peacebuilders, activists, and leaders across 17 southern states, covering the South West, South South, and South East zones. Operating under a legislative system with representatives from various senatorial districts, the Assembly provides a platform for youths to learn the art of lawmaking and push pro-youth policies in both the National and State Assemblies.
