Senator Yayi Urges Christians To Walk Christ’s Path This Palm Sunday

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, representing Ogun West Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, has extended warm greetings to Christians across Ogun West, Ogun State, and Nigeria on the occasion of Palm Sunday.
In a statement released on Sunday, the senator joined the Christian faithful in commemorating the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, a moment he described as a powerful symbol of humility, sacrifice, and divine purpose.
“Palm Sunday marks the beginning of the Holy Week,” Senator Adeola noted, “a period for deep reflection on love, service, forgiveness, and hope. Just as the people laid down palm branches to honour Christ, may we lay down our fears and pride to embrace righteousness, unity, and compassion.”
He called on citizens to draw strength from the season, emphasizing the importance of faith, peaceful coexistence, and community building. According to him, the values of Holy Week should inspire collective efforts towards justice, development, and national unity.
“May this Holy Week renew our spirits and inspire us to be beacons of light in our homes, our neighbourhoods, and across Ogun West,” he added.
Senator Adeola concluded his message with prayers for the people and the nation:
“God bless Ogun West. God bless Ogun State. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
