Sanwo-Olu Signs N3.37trn Lagos Budget For 2025

The N3.37 trillion budget, tagged the ‘Budget of Sustainability,’ is a strategic plan aimed at consolidating past achievements while preparing for future growth.
A significant portion of the budget is allocated to capital expenditure, reflecting the administration’s focus on transformative projects that drive economic growth and improve the quality of life for Lagosians. Key areas such as infrastructure, innovation, and sustainable development take center stage in the financial plan.
The recurrent expenditure, totaling ₦1.30 trillion, has been carefully structured to ensure the efficient operation of government activities while supporting critical sectors, including education, healthcare, and security. This balance underscores the government’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and delivering impactful services.
Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the ‘Budget of Sustainability’ represents more than just numbers—it embodies a commitment to building a Lagos that works for everyone. From housing and infrastructure to youth empowerment and social interventions, every allocation is designed to align with the vision of a Greater Lagos.
The governor expressed gratitude to the Lagos State House of Assembly for their collaboration and to the residents of Lagos for their trust and support. He assured Lagosians that the budget would be implemented to create lasting positive impacts.
