Salako Pledges Commitment To Constituents, Inaugurates Salako ’27 Ambassadors

In a bold demonstration of his commitment to public welfare, Apagun Olaseni Salako, a leading Federal House of Representatives hopeful in the Yewa South/Ipokia Federal Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), extended his philanthropic outreach on Thursday through his Salako Empowerment Foundation (SEF).
During a medical outreach program held at the PDP Secretariat in Ilaro, Salako provided urgent interventions for two residents, Mrs. Ninuola Adenekan and Musili Akonimoko, diagnosed with thyroid disorder (goiter) and chronic kidney stones respectively. The interventions aimed to alleviate their pain and ensure immediate access to necessary treatment.
In addition to the medical support, the event marked the official inauguration of the Salako Vanguard – a team of five youth volunteers selected from each of the 10 wards in Yewa South Local Government. The ambassadors will spearhead grassroots initiatives to promote the health and well-being of residents throughout the Federal Constituency.
Chief Peter Ige, addressing the new ambassadors, urged them to remain loyal and disciplined in carrying out Salako’s vision. “The mission is to ensure that every ward benefits from these interventions and that our community feels the impact of this commitment,” he stated. Ige also hinted at a similar program scheduled to take place soon in Ipokia Local Government.
The well-attended event was graced by notable community and political figures, including former Yewa South Local Government Chief Executive Alhaji Chief Adewale Sunmola and Chief Abraham Adeleye, among others from the Ilaro and Ifekowajo communities.
Beneficiaries and newly appointed ambassadors alike lauded Salako for his unwavering dedication and perseverance. Many expressed gratitude for his long-standing commitment to the community, which continues to provide vital support and inspiration.
