Sagamu LG Launches Mass Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign
In a bid to strengthen child health and prevent infectious diseases, Sagamu Local Government, in collaboration with the Ogun State Primary Health Care Board, has launched a comprehensive vaccination campaign targeting children and adolescents across the area.
The campaign, which runs from 27th January to 5th February 2026, will provide routine immunizations for children aged 0–23 months, Measles-Rubella vaccinations for children aged 9 months to 14 years, and HPV vaccinations for girls aged 9 years.
Vaccinations will be available at all primary health care centers in Sagamu, as well as in schools, markets, mosques, churches, and designated outreach points, ensuring widespread accessibility.
Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, assured residents that the vaccines are safe and effective, urging parents and guardians to take full advantage of the initiative.
The local government emphasized that the campaign is part of a broader effort to promote public health and protect children from preventable diseases across the community.
