Sagamu Chairman Warns Against Cultism, Pledges Educational Support To Pupils

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has pledged to sponsor the Common Entrance Examination fees for all 49 Primary Six pupils at Wesley Primary School, Sotubo.

Odulate made the promise during a working visit to the school, where he and members of the council made a quick stop to address the issue of residents allegedly encroaching on government land within the school premises.

During the visit, the Chairman also interacted with pupils and staff to assess their welfare and learning conditions.

Addressing the pupils, Odulate urged them to stay away from cultism, avoid truancy, and remain focused on their studies, assuring them that they each have a bright future ahead if they remain disciplined and committed to their education.

“You must stay focused on your studies, avoid bad influences, and keep believing in your dreams. You are the leaders of tomorrow,” he advised.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to improving educational standards across Sagamu Local Government and supporting initiatives that motivate young learners to excel academically.

The visit, he said, also reinforced the council’s resolve to safeguard public properties and ensure that all government lands, particularly those within school environments, are protected from encroachment.
