Sagamu Chairman Applauds Abiodun, Backs Yayi’s Emergence As Ogun APC Flag Bearer

The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has commended Governor Dapo Abiodun for ensuring a peaceful and transparent process leading to the emergence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial flag bearer for Ogun State.
In a statement issued yesterday following the APC Special Caucus meeting, Chairman Odulate congratulated Distinguished Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi on his emergence as the party’s consensus candidate for the forthcoming governorship election.
Odulate noted that Governor Abiodun had consistently promised a rancour-free political transition and smooth handover to his successor. He stated that the outcome of the caucus meeting was a testament to the Governor’s commitment to that promise.
“As a committed progressive, I and many others chose to remain neutral, focusing on governance while awaiting the direction of our party leadership,” Odulate said in the statement. “With the emergence of a consensus candidate, ably presented by our Governor, I commend this bold step and celebrate him for being a man of his words.”
The Council boss extended the congratulations on behalf of the Local Government Executive Council, the Legislative Arm, and the people of Sagamu.
He expressed confidence that Senator Adeola’s candidacy not only unifies the party but also solidifies the foundation for a victorious outing at the polls.
“I have no doubt that your candidacy will further strengthen the vision of sustainable growth and development for our dear State,” the statement added.
