Remo Federal Constituency: Elegbeji Emerges, Odulate Hails APC, Electorate
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has recorded a major victory in the Remo Federal Constituency bye-election, with Hon. (Dr.) Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji declared winner of the keenly contested poll.
The election was held to fill the vacant seat left by the passing of Hon. Otunba Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga, popularly known as Ijaya.
In a congratulatory message, the Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, described the victory as a continuation of Ijaya’s legacy and a renewed mandate for the people of Remo.
“From the grief of that moment, our people have now spoken with one voice, entrusting the mandate of Remo Federal Constituency to another woman of capacity and vision, Hon. Elegbeji,” Odulate said.
He commended party leaders, members, and supporters for their resilience and unity throughout the electoral process, noting that the triumph belonged not just to the candidate but to the entire Remo people who defended their mandate at the polls.
Odulate expressed confidence in Elegbeji’s ability to represent the constituency with honour and excellence, adding that her victory marks “a renewed call to service for the good of Remo.”
