Remo Bye-Election: Ijaya’s Ex-Aide, Okueso Eniola, Endorses APC’s Elegbeji

As the Remo Federal Constituency prepares for its bye-election following the passing of Rt. Hon. Adewunmi Onanuga Ijaya, her former aide, Okueso Eniola (Arpa), has declared strong support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon. Princess Adesola Ayoola Elegbeji.

Okueso described the emergence of Elegbeji as a new chapter for the constituency, noting that she represents “Renewed Hope” and will bring succour and relief to the people.

“I am pleased to announce that we have secured an alternative representation for the Federal Constituency following the painful loss of Hon. Ijaya. Our new representative embodies the spirit of Renewed Hope, bringing succour and relief to the people,” he said.

He added that big things are coming to Remo again, urging constituents to vote for Elegbeji to shape the future of Remoland.

“Let us come out en masse on Saturday, August 16, to vote for a candidate who will not only continue the good work of Hon. Ijaya but also bring fresh ideas and renewed energy to our representation at the National Assembly,” he urged.

Elegbeji, described by supporters as a “true Omo Remoland,” comes from a prominent family with deep roots in the region. Her grandfather was the late Negbuwa of Ibido, Makun, while her maternal grandmother, of the Adegbite family from Itunla, Offin, is also well known in Remo. Her father, Prince David Adekunle Ayoola, served as Vice Chairman of Sagamu Local Government.

Okueso maintained that Elegbeji’s strong ties to Ogere Lipaka and her political pedigree make her the right choice to carry forward the late Ijaya’s legacy and deliver effective representation for the people of Remo Federal Constituency.
