Prowess University USA Confers Honorary Doctorate On Dr. Adetola Adebiyi
It was a moment of pride and recognition at the University of Ibadan’s Balogun Subomi Hall on Saturday, August 16, 2025, as Dr. Adetola Jordan Adebiyi was conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Public Administration (Honoris Causa) and also inducted as a Fellow of the Institution of Peace Advancement by Prowess University, Delaware, USA.
The award came during the institution’s Leadership Summit, Induction, and Honorary Doctorate Degree Ceremony, themed “Building a Culture of Peace: The Role of Education in Conflict Resolution and Nation-Building.”

Adebiyi, celebrated for his industrial innovations and humanitarian service, was described as a leader whose contributions to public administration and community development stand as a model for young professionals across Nigeria and beyond.
Speaking at the event, guest speaker Prof. Wasiu A. Babalola, Vice-Chancellor of Atiba University, Oyo, and Director of the Africa Travel Commission (ATC), stressed the importance of honoring individuals who use their platforms to drive peace, social development, and nation-building.

Other dignitaries present included Prof. Eze C. Nwauba, African Representative of Prowess University and Founder/Registrar of IAMPS, and Prof. Justice Esibe, FCIAP, the University’s Nigeria Representative. They both commended Adebiyi’s commitment to humanitarian causes and industrial growth, noting that the recognition was a call for greater service to society.
In his remarks, Adebiyi expressed gratitude to Prowess University for the honour and dedicated the award to “every Nigerian striving to build, not destroy; to unite, not divide.”
The ceremony, attended by academics, leaders, and professionals from various fields, reinforced the role of education and leadership in fostering peace, conflict resolution, and national development.
