Power Club Of Lagos Nigeria Celebrates Newly Elected Executives Of Millennium Housing Estate CDA, Unveils Partnership Plans

In a display of unity and community spirit, Power Club of Lagos Nigeria, under the leadership of Power Elder Soji Fagbemi, hosted the newly elected executives of Millennium Housing Estate Community Development Association (MHECDA) in a grand celebration of their recent victory. The event took place today, Sunday, August 27, 2023, at the Power Club Base, Abbey’s Bar inside Millennium Housing Estate, Ojokoro LCDA, Ifako Ijaiye, Lagos.

The evening, filled with camaraderie and goodwill, brought together residents of Millennium Housing Estate to honor and welcome their newly elected executives, led by the chairman, Alhaji Ismail Adekunle Allison, who is also a member of the club.

Power Fagbemi, Chairman of Power Club of Lagos Nigeria, delivered a heartfelt speech during the event, expressing his warm welcome and acknowledging the significance of the occasion. He emphasized the club’s longstanding commitment to community development and its integral role within Millennium Housing Estate.

“Power Club of Lagos is more than just a social club; it is a family,” Power Fagbemi declared. He highlighted the club’s impressive track record of contributing to the development of the estate over the past 15 years through various initiatives as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Furthermore, Power Fagbemi announced ongoing plans for the rehabilitation of the main entrance road leading into the estate, made possible through the influence of some club members within the Lagos State Government. He also revealed forthcoming collaborative efforts, including the provision of a car wash to enhance estate revenue.

As a show of support for the newly elected executives, Power Fagbemi affirmed, “We will give this Exco all the necessary support in the quest for excellence in the discharge of its constitutional duties.” He stressed the importance of unity within the CDA and urged the chairman to lead with a servant’s heart, always involving members in decision-making processes.

In response, the general secretary of MHECDA, Mr. Abiola Mohammed conveyed the executive’s appreciation for the gracious hosting by Power Club of Lagos Nigeria. In his brief statement, he underscored the significance of such gatherings in fostering unity and strengthening the bonds within the community.

Mr. Mohammed then shifted his focus to formally introducing the newly elected executives of the association. With enthusiasm, he highlighted their dedication and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Millennium Housing Estate. These individuals, he emphasized, had been elected by the residents to lead and serve, and they would spare no effort in ensuring the continued prosperity of the estate.

The vice chairman of MHECDA, Mr. Christopher Otabor expressed appreciation to Power Club of Lagos Nigeria for the honor bestowed upon them. He noted that the evening symbolizes the strong community ties and shared commitment to the betterment of Millennium Estate.

His words served as a reminder of the shared responsibility and commitment that bind the community members, promising a bright future for Millennium Housing Estate under the leadership of the newly elected executives.

Chairman of MHECDA, Alhaji Ismail Adekunle Allison echoed vice chairman Otabor’s sentiments. According to him, “This is a momentous occasion, and we are excited to work alongside Power Club of Lagos Nigeria and all residents to ensure the well-being and development of our estate.

“We are committed to leading MHECDA with diligence and transparency, and together with the residents, we will usher in a new era of progress. Your support energizes our efforts.
