Oyedele, Kushimo Named As PC, Chairman Of Mushin Mandate Group

The leadership crisis rocking the Mushin local government of Mandate Group, under the auspices of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, appears to have been resolved.

Readership NG reports that the state leadership of Mandate Group has confirmed Alhaja Tawakalitu Olusola Oyedele, aka Iya Luku, as its principal coordinator, while Alhaji Akeem Alani Kusimo as its local government chairman.

The announcement was made at the state level by its chairman, Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo, before it was mandated to be implemented at the local government level on Wednesday, May 3, 2023.

In a joint meeting between the caucus of Hon. Prince Adewale Arogundade, a chieftain and member of the Central Working Committee (CWC) of the state organ of the group, and Alhaja Tawakalitu Olusola Oyedele, aka Iya Luku, newly appointed Prinicpal Coordinator, resolved that members of the group needs “to sit together,” and harmonise their differences, after the state resolution.

Alhaja Oyedele noted that deliberations at the state meeting centred on the way forward. She urged all the group members to remain resolute and be rest assured that she will work with the Chairman and the leaders at the local government to deliver dividends of democracy to all members.

Arogundade Seeks For Calm, Unwavering Support For Enilolobo

Hon. Prince Adewale Arogundade noted that no remarkable progress could be attained in an atmosphere of rancour, acrimony, hatred, and other negative tendencies, as he urged the elders and all aggrieved factions within the group in the local government to remain calm.

Arogundade, therefore, declared that he had put the matter behind him and will continue to show unwavering support to the leadership of Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo.

“I call on everyone to close ranks by settling their differences aside. Our leader has spoken. Iya Luku is the PC, while Alhaji Kushimo remains the chairman. As time goes on, all other members of the local government and ward executives will be deliberated upon by himself, Iya Luku, and Alhaji Kushimo. Therefore, let’s remain focused and calm,” he pleaded.

Arogundade, however, noted that Kushimo remains the chairman, but he’s unavoidable absent at the meeting, “I assure all members of prompt information on subsequent meetings from the group local government chairman, Alhaji Akeem Alani Kushimo”.

Kushimo Express Readiness To Work With Alhaja Oyedele, Prince Arogundade

In a telephone conversation with Readership NG, Alhaji Akeem Alani Kushimo confirmed the development. He expressed satisfaction and readiness to work with Alhaja Oyedele and Prince Arogundade for the progress of the group.

He apologised for his absence noting that Alhaja Oyedele and Prince Arogundade were well informed on the reason why he couldn’t attend. He, however, said he may not be there physically but represented. He was quoted to be aware on every step taken by the two leaders to resolve the misunderstanding.

Alhaji Kushimo applauded Prince Arogundade for his show sportsmanship, sacrifice, and commitment to see the group succeed at all levels.

Victory For Mandate Group

The development appears to be a victory for all leaders, stakeholders, and members of Mandate Group who want to witness the unity of the group.

Speaking on the development today, Hon. Olayinka Otolorin Falade said he witnessed the resolution at the state level, and he’s delighted for development.

Falade urged all warring caucus in Mandate to sheathe their swords since the state leadership already resolved the minor crisis.

His words: “My reaction is simple, since our leaders at the state have sorted the matter, it’s important that we obey the ruling.

He prayed that all members would witness the greatness of the group and party at large.
