Ondo Police Deploy Personnel To Strengthen Security Ahead Of Easter

The Ondo State Police Command has intensified security measures across the state ahead of the Easter celebrations, with the deployment of additional personnel to safeguard lives and property.
The Commissioner of Police, , ordered the proactive deployment as part of efforts to ensure a peaceful and hitch free festive period for residents and visitors.
According to the Command, officers have been strategically stationed at worship centres, major highways, recreational facilities, markets, and other critical public locations. The deployment, described as intelligence driven, is aimed at preventing criminal activities and maintaining law and order throughout the celebration period.
The move aligns with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, , to reinforce security nationwide during the Easter season. In compliance, the Command has activated heightened operations, mobilising specialised units including tactical teams, the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear unit, the Police Mobile Force, and intelligence operatives for both covert and overt assignments.
The Command assured residents that adequate security arrangements have been put in place, urging them to go about their lawful activities without fear. Citizens were encouraged to attend places of worship, travel, and participate in social events with confidence.
While reiterating its commitment to maintaining peace and security, the Police also called on members of the public to remain vigilant and support ongoing efforts by reporting any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or through official communication channels.
The Command emphasised that it remains dedicated to ensuring a safe, secure, and incident free Easter celebration across Ondo State.
