Mrs. Ilori noted that, her previous working relationship with Razaq Ayinla as a member of press week committee and education empowerment committee in 2017 was fruitful and inspiring.

According to her, Razaq Ayinla is highly connected and cerebral, who has the interest of the union and members welfare at heart.

She enjoined members of the union to vote for a thoroughbred professional who will unify members of the union devoid of pettiness and selfish interests.

“On behalf of my chairman, I welcome you all to federal information and National Orientation chapel. We are happy to be integrated back to the NUJ family after we were chased away.

“We are monitoring the trend of event, and I can state that we know everyone’s antecedent. But Razaq Ayinla stands out. I have worked with him at NUJ level and I can see that he’s passionate about the union and how members can be better.

“During our press week committee then, Razaq Ayinla used his influence and connections to secure us support from private multi national companies. So, I was not surprised when I heard he facilitated capacity building for 100 Ogun journalists, that’s what he does best. I have no doubt, that Ogun NUJ is in safe hands.”

Responding, the chapel chairman, Mrs. Toyin Oluwa appreciated TeamRA for the visit.

She expressed her disappointment in the Leadership of the Union in the State for abandoning the Chapel after the demise of their member and former chairman of the union in the state, late Soji Amosu.

Mrs. Oluwa said nobody from the State Council of NUJ visited to emphatize with them after the NOA chapel was evicted from NUJ.

She urged all candidates to campaign with decorum and create unity among members of the union.
