Political mobilisation by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections has received a fresh impetus in Remo North, with Aremo Akinlolu Agunbiade, popularly known as Aremo Yayi, activating “Operation Deliver Your Polling Units.”
The meeting, which brought together unit leaders and grassroots coordinators of Ward 7, Unit 9, Ayegbami, centred on preparations for the elections and measures to strengthen the party’s presence at the polling-unit level.

A major issue discussed was the forthcoming inauguration of Unit Canvassers, scheduled for next week. The canvassers are expected to serve as a link between the party structure and voters within the unit.
Agunbiade urged the leaders to prioritise teamwork, accessibility and regular interaction with residents, stressing the importance of understanding the concerns of people within their communities.
He said the mobilisation effort would support all APC candidates on the ballot, from the presidential election to the state Assembly contest.

The candidates are President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is seeking a second term; Governor Dapo Abiodun, who is seeking election to the Senate to represent Ogun East Senatorial District; Hon. Funmilayo Efuwape, House of Representatives candidate for Remo Federal Constituency; and Hon. Adebiyi Adeleye, candidate for the Ogun State House of Assembly.
The Ward 7, Unit 9 leadership pledged its support for the planned inauguration and expressed readiness to work with the grassroots team ahead of the elections.
The engagement marked another step in efforts to consolidate the APC’s ward and polling-unit structures ahead of 2027, with Agunbiade placing particular emphasis on translating political organisation into effective activity at the unit level.
