The Executive Chairman of Sagamu Local Government, Ogbeni Jubril Olasile Odulate, has inaugurated the newly constituted Market Boards for five major markets within the local government area. The inauguration follows the earlier release of the board members’ names by his office.
During the ceremony, Ogbeni Odulate congratulated the newly appointed board members and their respective chairmen. He urged them to maintain peace and order in the markets and to foster a cordial relationship with traditional leaders. He emphasized that their duties include ensuring the smooth operation of market activities through cooperation and effective management.
He also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his continuous support and commitment to the ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda. According to Odulate, the governor’s dedication to governance has enabled the successful implementation of several developmental projects across the local government.

Ogbeni Odulate also used the occasion to outline several key projects his administration plans to undertake. These projects include the construction of an Information Technology (IT) Centre to enhance digital literacy and provide access to technological resources. He announced plans to convert a section of the Town Hall building, currently occupied by the customary court, into a Job Centre. This initiative aims to connect residents with employment opportunities in nearby companies.
Additionally, he revealed plans to modernize the Legislative Hall to align with contemporary standards and to reconstruct Sode Road in Sabo to improve road infrastructure and ease transportation in the area.
As part of efforts to deepen grassroots governance and political engagement, Ogbeni Odulate announced the forthcoming appointment of 15 Special Advisers on Political Matters, with one representative from each ward in Sagamu Local Government.
