Oba Odutala Urges President Tinubu To Stick To Agenda Without Prejudice

As Bola Ahmed Tinubu resumes office as the president of Nigeria, Oba Adewunmi Adeniji Odutala, Onibudo of Aiyetoro-Budo has appealed to him to stick to his promises to Nigerians and not derail from them.

Oba Odutala asked Nigerians to support Tinubu, regardless of their tribe, religion, political affiliation, and others

Readership NG reports that Tinubu was sworn in on Monday for the commencement of four years in office.

Nigeria became more divided along ethnic, political, and religious lines, especially considering the ethnic and political disagreements that characterised the elections.

But, Oba Odutala charged the people to put behind their differences and rally round Tinubu for the sake of development.

Oba Odutala, in a statement made available to Readership NG today, urged Tinubu to turn the ship of the country around and away from hitting the rocks.

His words, “You are presented with a rare privilege to turn the ship of this country around and away from hitting the rocks. I am not bewildered at all by the current wave of challenges bedevilling our dear country because I know you are a man gifted with the rare ability to straighten structures and create one where needed. I am not in doubt of your ability to finish the laudable projects of the outgoing administration and begin the rebuilding process of our economy.”

He begged the president to keep to his campaign promises, saying he should conscientiously serve the people of Nigeria with all sincerity of purpose.

While felicitating President Tinubu, Oba Odutala maintained that Tinubu should correct the ills of his predecessor and forge a new path for his administration.

He charged the president to make his mark by putting Nigeria on a steady path of growth and development.

“It is incredibly important that you spend every waking moment in that office correcting the ills of your predecessor and forging a new path for your administration. You must make your mark by putting Nigeria on a steady path of growth and development. Lagos was your springboard. Today, it is the reference point for your capabilities.”

Further, the Onibudo of Aiyetoro-Budo advised Tinubu not to allow politicians to distract him from his real assignment. He also urged him to incorporate the youths into the system and allow traditional rulers to have constitutional roles in the area of security and conflict resolution.
