The colourful ceremony celebrated the service and leadership of Egbetokun, who retired from active duty on February 25, 2026, after 36 years of service to the police and the nation.
In his remarks, the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, described the event as a significant moment for the Force, noting that Egbetokun’s career was defined by dedication, professionalism and exemplary leadership.
