Ijebu North Chairman Lauds Abiodun, Congratulates Yayi, Urges APC Unity In Ogun

The Executive Chairman of Ijebu North Local Government, Hon. Bolaji Odusanya, has commended the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun, CON, for his statesmanlike leadership and progressive disposition at the recent All Progressives Congress State Caucus meeting held in Abeokuta.

Odusanya particularly applauded the Governor for his pivotal role in fostering party cohesion and guiding the process that produced Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, YAYI, CON, FCA, as the consensus governorship candidate of the APC as a party, ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

The council Chairman also extended warm congratulations to the distinguished senator on his emergence, describing the development as a well-deserved recognition of his long-standing commitment to progressive ideals, exemplary public service and dedication to the advancement of Ogun State.

Odusanya described the development as a reflection of collective wisdom within the party and a strategic step towards sustaining the progressive legacy in Ogun State. He further expressed appreciation to party elders, leaders and critical stakeholders across the state whose counsel and commitment helped shape the consensus that now strengthens the party’s unity.

According to him, the decision also pointed to the party’s sensitivity to equity and inclusiveness, particularly with the emergence of a candidate from Ogun West Senatorial District.

He seized the opportunity to urge members of the party in Ijebu North and across the state to close ranks, embrace unity and channel their collective energy toward consolidating the party’s dominance in the forthcoming elections.

He equally appealed to aspirants seeking tickets for the National and State Assemblies to conduct their engagements with decorum, mutual respect and a strong sense of party loyalty, stressing that healthy competition must never undermine the collective interest of the party.

“Now that our party has produced a Consensus Governorship Candidate, it is incumbent upon every progressive to work in harmony and ensure sweeping victories across all elective positions: from the Presidency to the National Assembly Seats, to the governorship, and the State House of Assembly seats,” he said.

The Executive Chairman expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the party at the national level under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as party elders and stakeholders in Ogun State for their steadfast support and commitment to strengthening the progressive family.

He expressed confidence that with unity, discipline and shared purpose, the party would continue to chart a path of stability, development and electoral success in Ogun State and beyond. He pledged the unalloyed support of the good people and Government of Ijebu North Local Government to stand by the incoming Government of our Distinguished Senator Olamilekan Adeola YAYI by the Grace of God, as we are standing by the Government of our dynamic Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun CON.
