Hope Rises In Odogbolu As Ennyade Intervenes For Girl Living With Disability
An emotional appeal circulated in a WhatsApp group connecting residents of Odogbolu and parts of Ogun State has led to a timely intervention for Miss Bakare Ogooluwa Oluwaseyifunmi, a young girl living with disability in Ifesowapo Zone, Ward 1.
In the widely shared voice note, a concerned resident passionately described the daily struggles of the school-age girl, explaining how her condition makes it difficult for her to attend school regularly and carry out routine activities.
The distress call was brought to the attention of Ennyade, who immediately swung into action. Accompanied by leaders of the All Progressives Congress in her ward and other community members, she paid a visit to the family’s residence to assess the situation firsthand and offer support. A wheel chair was immediately bought alongside other necessities.
Speaking during the visit, Ennyade expressed sympathy for the young girl and assured the family of her commitment. “No child should be left behind because of circumstances beyond her control,” she said. “We will walk with you on this journey and do everything within our reach to ensure she has the opportunity to pursue her education and live with dignity.”
She further emphasised the importance of collective responsibility in caring for vulnerable members of society, noting that sustainable community development must prioritise inclusion and compassion.
An emotional Mrs. Bakare, mother of the young girl, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the visit and the show of concern. “I was overwhelmed when they came to our house,” she said. “Ennyade is God-sent. This has given us renewed hope that my daughter’s future can be brighter.”
Residents in the area described the intervention as timely and reassuring, saying it highlights the impact of responsive community leadership and the power of collective action in addressing grassroots challenges.
