High Chief Ogunjobi, Mayegun Of Ode Remo, Pays Condolence Visit To Late Alaperu’s Palace
High Chief Kolapo Ogunjobi, the Mayegun of Ode Remo, has paid a condolence visit to the palace of the late Alaperu of Iperu, Oba Adeleke Idowu Basibo, where he signed the condolence register in honor of the revered monarch.
During his visit on Sunday, Chief Ogunjobi commiserated with the Alaperu-in-Council and the people of Iperu-Remo, describing the late king as a symbol of unity and progress whose leadership left an indelible mark on the town and the entire Remo region.
“The passing of Oba Adeleke Basibo is a great loss to Iperu and Remo as a whole. He was a father to all, a leader of wisdom, and a true custodian of our heritage. His reign was marked by peace, development, and cultural preservation,” Chief Ogunjobi stated.
Following the condolence signing, the Mayegun of Ode Remo joined members of the Alaperu-in-Council in a group photograph, symbolizing unity and shared commitment to upholding the legacies of the late monarch.

The late Alaperu demise has been met with an outpouring of tributes from traditional leaders, political figures, and Ogun stakeholders, including Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who described the late monarch as a leader dedicated to the progress of Iperu and Ogun State as a whole.
