Gov. Abiodun Appoints Onasanya As New Ogun Head Of Service

In an official announcement made today by Tokunbo Talabi, Secretary to Ogun State Government, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has appointed Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya as the new Head of Service for Ogun State, succeeding Mr. Kolawole Fagbohun who recently retired after a commendable service.

Mr. Onasanya, who previously held the position of Permanent Secretary at the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, brings with him a wealth of experience spanning over three decades in the civil service. Having started as an Information Officer in 1993, he steadily climbed the ranks, attaining the position of Director before his appointment as Permanent Secretary in 2020.

Described as a consummate professional, esteemed media manager, and adept administrator, Mr. Onasanya’s credentials include memberships in prestigious professional bodies such as the Nigerian Union of Journalists and the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations.

Throughout his tenure as Permanent Secretary, Mr. Onasanya has demonstrated his capabilities across various government agencies, notably the Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, and the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration.

Recognized for his outstanding contributions, Mr. Onasanya has received several accolades, including the Ogun State Award in 2006 and subsequent commendations from the Nigerian Union of Journalists for his reporting prowess.

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Onasanya is known for his commitment to family life, being happily married with children.
