FG Announces N5bn Palliative For Each State

The Federal Government has introduced a palliative measure of N5bn for each state in the federation, as well as the federal capital territory (FCT), to help mitigate the impact of the removal of the petrol subsidy.
Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, told State House correspondents in Abuja on Thursday after the end of a meeting held by the National Economic Council (NEC).
The meeting was chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima and attended by the governors of the 36 states, along with the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other government officials co-opted for the purpose.
