Eid-el-Fitr: Mandate Movement Appeals For Sustenance Of Ramadan Virtues
2 min readThe Lagos State Chairman of The Mandate Movement, Abdullahi Ayinde Enilolobo, on Tuesday, felicitates Muslims and offers prayers for the peace and development of the nation.
Enilolobo also admonishes them not to forget the significance of Ramadan and charges them to carry on with its numerous lessons and virtues.
Enilolobo, in his Eid-el-Fitr message conveyed through a chieftain of the group, Prince Adewale Arogundade, called on Nigerians to continue to draw from the lessons of piety, love, justice, fairness, equity, tolerance, and honesty derived from the holy month.
He said, “Peace is the only panacea to the socioeconomic development of the country.”
Part of the statement read, “I enjoin us not to forget the significance of the holy and spiritually-rejuvenating month and carry on with its numerous lessons and virtues that it has come to teach and remind us. Let us continue to demonstrate the lessons of Ramadan in our daily activities and dealings with others.
“While we celebrate Eid with our family and loved ones, let us remember that peace is the only panacea to the socioeconomic development of the country.
“Muslims should take advantage of this important celebration to offer prayers for the peace, stability, progress, and development of the nation.”
Finally, the Mandate Movement Chairman appealed to Lagosians and, in extension, Nigerians to shun anything that could further throw the country into chaos but work for the unity and harmony of the country. He then prayed that Allah would accept all acts of worship and supplications in the month of Ramadan and beyond.
