CBN Orders Immediate Circulation Of Old Naira Notes Released To Banks

The central bank of Nigeria has deposited more naira notes to Nigerian banks to cushion the ongoing cash crunch that has hit the nation, Readership Nigeria reports.
According to information, the CBN deposited old notes across commercials banks today and has also instructed them to collect the old naira notes they deposited with the CBN.
With this, the country is expected to be awash with naira notes before the end of the week.
Recall that Supreme Court gave its verdict on Naira redesign, directing the Federal Government to allow the validity of N200, N500 and N1000 notes till 31 December.
