JUST IN: Bobrisky Receives Six-Month Imprisonment Sentence

A Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, to six months’ imprisonment without the option of a fine for abusing the Nigerian currency – the naira.
Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court, Lagos, stated in her sentence that the judgment would serve as a deterrent to others who are fond of abusing and mutilating the naira.
The court delivered this verdict on Friday after Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the offense last week.
Recall that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission dragged the Popular Cross dresser to court on six counts of charges.
