AFCON 2025: Super Eagles To Face Mozambique In Round Of 16

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will take on Mozambique in the Round of 16 of the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The matchup was confirmed on Wednesday night following the conclusion of Group F fixtures. Mozambique secured qualification for the knockout stage despite surrendering a lead to lose 2–1 to Cameroon. They finished third in the group, behind Ivory Coast and the Indomitable Lions.
Nigeria’s place in the last 16 had already been assured after victories in their opening two group matches. However, Eric Chelle’s side sealed top spot in Group C with a convincing 3–1 win over Uganda on Tuesday.
The Super Eagles will face Mozambique on Tuesday in Fez, Morocco, with a place in the quarter-finals at stake.
Kick-off is scheduled for 8:00pm WAT.
